Describing the Indescribable Elie Wieselââ¬â¢s Night Essay Example
Describing the Indescribable: Elie Wieselââ¬â¢s Night Paper There are many experiences in life so incredible that unless you were there it would make no sense. With his work Night Elie Wiesel has taken up and met that challenge as he describes his familyââ¬â¢s horrific ordeal at the hands of the Nazis. His chronological account first takes the reader back to the ââ¬Å"calm before the stormâ⬠in WWII Transylvania (now Romania) where his village of Sighet is barely touched by the war. Warnings occur but are discounted. Calm then changes to fear and apprehension as the Nazi presence comes into his town. Quickly the Jews are then upset from their homes to be resettled in ghettos only to be expelled from their village and sent via cattle car to the concentration camps. Somehow, perhaps inexplicably, Wiesel survives to give a riveting account of his life of hell under the Nazis. Horror is best exemplified and most effective when the abnormal comes from the normal, or when unspeakable evil erupts from what is believed to be good. Wiesel narrates this horror in a dispassionate manner, leaving the impression that while he survived he sustained appalling wounds which will never heal. In 1941 Elie Wiesel was a devoutly religious boy of twelve. Despite his fatherââ¬â¢s protestations young Elie began his studies with Moshe and soon heard something that would later reverberate in his thoughts. According to Moshe ââ¬Å"man questions God and God answers. But we donââ¬â¢t understand His answers. We canââ¬â¢t understand them because they come from the depths of the soul and they stay there until deathâ⬠(16). Unfortunately Moshe is a ââ¬Å"foreignâ⬠Jew and was forcibly deported out of Sighet. ââ¬Å"What can we expect? â⬠a Jew stated. ââ¬Å"Itââ¬â¢s warâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ and then ââ¬Å"the deportees were soon forgottenâ⬠(17). In late 1942 Moshe returns to Sighet, a changed man. He tirelessly recounts to all who will listen and even those who wonââ¬â¢t the experience of the deportees at the hands of the Gestapo. His accounting of the wholesale murder fell on deaf ears, and ââ¬Å"people refused not only to believe his stories, but even to listen to himâ⬠(18). 1943 was a quiet year in Sighet; ââ¬Å"the Jews of Sighet were waiting for better days, which would not be long in comingâ⬠(19). The optimism continued into 1944. Even when Fascists came to power and Germans occupied Hungary word spread to Sighet that Jews were being attacked in Budapest ââ¬Å"optimism soon revivedâ⬠with a belief Sighet would escape the horror of war (20). But it would not and during Passover the unbelievable became reality. According to Wiesel ââ¬Å"from that moment, everything happened very quickly. The race toward death had begunâ⬠(21). The Jews were forcibly segregated into two separate ghettos and then into one, losing homes and personal property in the process. Fear gripped the community and soon rumors of deportation became reality. The Jews of Sighet were loaded into cattle cars with the warning any attempt to escape would result in death. Wiesel recounts the inhuman conditions inside the cars. To make matters worse a woman became hysterical, screaming of fires. When they finally came into a camp, and saw the flames from the crematoria, the old woman ââ¬Å"had become dumb, indifferent, absent, and had gone back to her cornerâ⬠(38). Wiesel and his father, separated from the women of the family, were now in Auschwitz.

Defeated in 1968, Douglas won the riding of Nanaimo-Cowichan-The Islands in 1969 and held it until his retirement. Quality Management Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Quality Management - Essay Example But it so happens that sometimes what the staff's thinks as quality care does not always agree the patient's satisfaction. PDSA (Plan, Do, Study, Act) cycle is also known as PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle, which also called the Deeming wheel, or cycle. The Deeming wheel is used by organizations that are continuously engaged in continuous improvement to train their employees or staff in problem solving matters. Continuous improvement is a process that seeks ways to improve the operations of an organization. When implementing a continuous improvement concept in a hospital or a health care centre the management of that institution must follow some procedures. 1) Train the staff of the hospital or health care centre in the methods of improving quality and their performance when dealing with patients. 2) The staff should make statistical process control method a daily part of their operations and tasks. 3) The management should make work teams and involve the staff. And introduce problem solving in the work teams. Plan is the first step in the Deeming Wheel. Plan basically means that to make a strategy or plan ahead before a change and to predict the result and then analyze it. Therefore when planning the team basically selects a process for example an activity like when an emergency is bought in the ER the nurse monitors and checks the vital signs of the patient and prepares the patient for treatment. Therefore the improvement to take place the management has to make sure the nurses in the ER are trained for the any kind of emergencies and the ER is fully equipped and the staff is on alert because the patients need to be treated quickly ad efficiently. Do Do is the second step in the Deeming Wheel. Do basically mean that the team implements the plan and then it monitors the process. For example q patient is brought in the ER with a heart attack problem. The patient will receive immediately oxygen and will have an ECG as soon as possible. Therefore with the right kind of equipment and the staff well trained only then the patient's life will be saved. Check Check is the third step in the Deeming Wheel. Check basically means that the staff or the team basically analyses the data that was collected during the Do step to basically find out that the results match to the predicted result in the plan step. It the staff of the ER is well trained and the ER is fully equipped and when the patient does arrive with a problem and is quickly dealt with the right kind of treatment and it the result of this outcome matches with the prediction then the institution is right on track with the continuous improvement process. Act Act is the fourth step in Deeming Wheel. Act basically means if the results are successful then this process becomes a standard procedure in the Emergency Room to train the staff how to deal with the patients and to have the ER fully equipped with the right kind of machines and instruments. The importance of legitimizing PMS Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
The importance of legitimizing PMS - Essay Example The symptoms themselves are quite tricky since for a considerable period of time many of these symptoms have been associated with the normal onset of the menstrual cycle. The list of symptoms is quite exhaustive since it includes things such as stress, aggression, abdominal bloating or cramps, swelling of the breasts or tenderness, headaches, aches and pains, inability to finish thoughts, fatigue, panic attacks and emotional instability with mood swings (Medline Plus, 2008). These symptoms overlap with several other medical problems and even the common cold could be misdiagnosed as PMS. The APAââ¬â¢s decision to add PMDD to the the DSM-IV is certainly a good decision since it deemphasizes the cultural stigma associated with PMS that has been given by the popular media to women who are undergoing these symptoms. Recognizing the problem as a problem is often the first step which can lead us to finding a solution for it and therefore it is a good decision of the APA to recognize the problem and thus allow researchers to seek solutions for it. The articles and medical information available about PMS certainly points to the idea that PMS should be given a medical diagnosis since the symptoms and the problems associated with the condition are quite extreme (Mayo Clinic, 2008). A woman who could be undergoing these symptoms may have no option to seek out help if the problem is not recognized as such. Traditional medicine which is supposed to relieve aches and pains such as painkillers and even home remedies might be used while different medication specifically tailored to tackle the symptoms of PMS may be out of reach or not prescribed at all. Of course there is a cultural stigma associated with PMS but it must be understood that this stigma is only given by chauvinistic males and does not have any basis in reality. Just as male specific psychological disorders can reduce their ability to have erections, PMS can be a

Analysis of Concepts Brought out by Marx, Smith, Mill and Walzer Essay
Analysis of Concepts Brought out by Marx, Smith, Mill and Walzer - Essay Example These rights granted the citizens a level of liberty but it was not sufficient. However, governments objected a second step to set a societal check committee. Setting it up would ensure that the government did not use power to oppress its subjects. In addition, Mill describes a different era of governance when people believed that they achieved liberty. This is the era when the citizens chose leaders who would represent their opinion in the government. The leaders represented the opinion and views of the citizens, keeping their personal views to themselves. Although the citizens felt more represented by this form of governance, it brought about the controlling power of the majority and this denied the self-cultivating autonomous individual the right to exercise his or her freedom to hold and practice a different opinion from what the majority holds. Society exerts the compulsion on an individual to follow the opinion of the majority. Mill refers to this control as worse than that of tyrannies. According to Mill, society should not hold the majorityââ¬â¢s opinion as absolute truth. The majority can be wrong at times, whereas the minority opinion is right. In most cases, accepting of the majorityââ¬â¢s opinion is without reason (Jones 27). In addition, refuting of the minorityââ¬â¢s opinion is without meaningful analysis. ... According to Mill, absolute liberty should be an expression of oneââ¬â¢s conscience and should entail freedom of thought and feeling. In addition, one should have the liberty to express and make public his opinion as well as pursue his or her interests and associate freely with a group. Society should set each individual free to exercise creativity in thought and action. This will encourage diversity in society. Walzer expressed his views on the continuous struggle to achieve equality in society. In his opinion, there are many inequalities in the world because people possess the things that they do not honestly deserve. A great majority of people having a lot of money have not worked for it. Once they are in possession of money, they get access to a wide variety of goods and services. Essentially, some people in possession of certain goods do not deserve them at all. Some doctors buy certificates without the right academic qualifications. Others get access to power because they ha ve money. Walzer wrote his essay in response to Kristolââ¬â¢s ideas and questions (Jones 29). According to Walzer, equality is important in society and is achievable if distribution of goods and services depends on need and qualification. His illustration of the wealthy accessing medical services because they have money and not because of health issues shows the irony in society. It is clear that some people have access to services and goods they do not need. Logically, only the sick and not the wealthy should have access to medical services. If services and goods are only accessible to those in need, a level of equality in society is attainable. Other goods should come into an individualââ¬â¢s possession when they qualify to own them. In addition, one should work hard enough to

Nishat Linen Competitors: *Al-Karam Textile Mills One of the largest producers of Fashion and Basic Beddings, Al-Karam has been successful in its ability in grasping the biggest market share. They offer a diversified set of products which are high in quality and designs which includes Apron, Egyptian cotton, bed linen, Hand Towel e.t.c. They are also engaged with in house design solutions as well. Al-karam is proud to have a proven record of providing service quality on time. *Chenone Pakistan It is one of Pakistans leading textile group and one of the largest exporters of home textile products from Pakistan. Chenabs processing unit is considered one of the best in the country with a complete processing range. Its main products that it offers include Home Textile, Garments, Foot Wear and Furniture. Its textile products not only fulfill local demand but are also exported to several other countries. *Ideas Ideas is one of the other big competitor of Nishat in the market where it offers a similar range of product offering including bedding, kitchen, bath furniture e.t.c. They are also offering specific range of cotton and lawn with fresh and vibrant colors. Their specialty is their unique design clothes with a vibrant palette of colors and embroidery. *Habitt Habitt provides with a wide variety which includes wide range of curtains, bed sheets, sofa sets, quilts, book shelves; dining tables and usually very common house hold items are available here. VLawn is a brand of Vaneeza Ahmed which is a popular figure in fashion industry. Initially she started with different Lawn designs and now she is offering shiffon, rawsilk and khadi wear. Brand Product Category Price Range Intensity Habbit Furniture Moderate High-High Red Interwood Furniture Moderate High-High Black Cross Roads Casual Clothing Moderate High-High Red Outfitters Casual Clothing Moderate High-High Red Fifth Avenue Casual Clothing Moderate High-High Blue Shirt Tie Formal Clothing Moderate High-High Red Dinners Formal Clothing Moderate High-High Blue Mens Store Formal Clothing High Red Stone Age Casual Clothing Moderate High-High Red Cotton Cotton Formal Clothing Moderate High-High Red Cambridge Formal Clothing Moderate High-High Blue Bonanza Formal Clothing Moderate High-High Blue Oxford Formal Clothing Moderate High-High Blue Ideas Clothing Moderate High-High Red Bareeze Fabric Moderate High-High Red V9 Fabric Moderate High-High Red Funk Asia Women Clothing Moderate High-High Blue Stylo Foot Wear Low-Moderate High Black Soul Foot Wear Moderate High-High Red Borjan Foot Wear Low-Moderate High Blue Red: Head to Head Competition Black: Moderate Competition Blue: Partial Competition Channels and Logistics Review The channels and Logistics are integrated such that product availability is insured across Pakistan at its various outlets which are located at all the major cities. However the major focus of outlets is in Punjab because of easy and cheap logistics since their production facility is near Lahore. There is one outlet in Islamabad and Karachi has three outlets out of which couple of them is located in Clifton and one in PECHS. This goes to show that Nishat hasnt identified other potential or growing markets within Karachi that is going to result in one of the threats from their competitors in gaining market share. SWOT Analysis SWOT Analysis is a useful tool for analyzing and understanding business situations as well as carrying out the decision making process within an organization. SWOT is an abbreviation for strength, weakness, opportunity and threats. Organizations use SWOT analysis for: Business planning Strategic planning Competitor evaluation Marketing Business development Product development SWOT analysis for Nishat: STRENGTHS One of the first few brands to launch bed linen in Pakistan. Strong product diversification. Outlets in nearly every city of Punjab and three outlets in Karachi which is also the business capital. Catering all market segments except children. Strong product development and most significantly according to all the seasons. Affiliation with a professional designer Mahin Khan. Organized records of customer database. Valuable services to all its loyal and first time customers by offering discount cards and membership cards. Limited designs for both fabrics and linen are sold in the market for every season that creates differentiation of their product. WEAKNESSES Nishat linen is not catering the middle and the lower income group that can be seen by looking at the price range of their products: Unstitched fabric: Rs. 2138 to 3150 Stitched fabric: Rs. 1400 to 5000 Bed Sheets: Rs. 1150 to 2950 Quilt Covers: Rs. 1800 to 5500 Nishat linen does not carry out exhibitions therefore customers have little knowledge about their products with respect to their competitors. Nishat linen has not been able to expand its market in Karachi due to high logistics cost since their mill is in Faisalabad Punjab. All the promotional strategies are focused on fabrics as it is their star product.bed linen gets little promotional campaign. OPPORTUNITIES Nishat linen can look to get affiliated with more diversified designers who are into accessories as well. Publish their own catalogues for bed linen and fabric and put them at different book stores so that customers have easy access to their designs. Nishat can get into western clothing line which will give them an edge over their competitors. Their Lahore unit is manufacturing denim fabric for Levis which is of superior quality. This gives an opportunity to Nishat to launch their own denim brand in the market. They should look to open an outlet in an area like North Nazimabad where the market has a lot of potential and people have the purchasing power as well. THREATS Strong promotional campaigns of competitors producing fabrics through exhibitions. Fabric designs of their competitors are available at other retail stores as well where as their fabrics are available at their outlets only. Most of their bed linens is exported therefore the local market tend to suffer where as their competitors like ideas and ChenOne are more focused on the local market gaining competitive advantage. BCG Matrix for Nishat Star: Nishats Star unit, undoubtedly, is Nisha, their clothing line for women. It is a unit that sells throughout the year and as quoted by the Manager of their Clifton outlet, Nisha sells at the same rate even during times of recession. According to him, Nishat has experienced more profit during recession because of continued high sales of their clothing line for women. Launched in 2004, Nisha grew by leaps and bounds and now stands alongside brands like Gul Ahmed, Lakhani and Al-Karam. It has been categorized as a Star product line of Nishat as the market for women fabric and apparel is huge, ever growing and presents quite a lot of potential. It has a high market share due to its exclusivity and quality that distinguishes it from its competition. As a consequence, it requires heavy investment to support its image as a brand with an attitude. Cash Cows: Nishats bed kitchen linen and accessories can be categorized as the cash cows with which it earns a healthy and steady cash flow throughout the year. The market demand for bed and kitchen linen, though not dynamic, has always been there with a sustained and limited potential for growth. Nishat, with its unique and discerning image, has managed to capture a significant share of this slow-growing market, relative to its competitors like Ideas by Gul Ahmed, Identity by Al-Karam and ofcourse, ChenOne. Its bed linen is not only in high demand locally but is also one of its major imports. Question Mark: Naqsh, the clothing line of Nishat for men, can be categorized as its Problem Child or Question Mark. Its a unit that hasnt shown much potential and as a result hasnt managed to gain as much market share or generate as much cash as was expected and required of it. The market for eastern wear for men has seen a rapid growth since the past few years and presents so much of unexplored potential. With every designer coming up with an exclusive clothing line for men, Naqsh faces serious competition from not only Gul Ahmed and Al-Karam but other market leaders such as Amir Adnan, Junaid Jamshed and Rizwan Beyg etc. To survive in such a fiercely competitive and fast-growing market, Naqsh requires heavy investments to hold its ground but hasnt managed to succeed in gaining enough market shares as yet. Dog: Finally, fashion accessories of Nishat can be termed as Dog; unit with a low market share in a moderately growing industry of accessories. The demand for fashion accessories like hand bags, clutches etc, though has always been there, but it does not have that much of a growth potential. With much of the investment being done in the other three units, Nishat hasnt paid heed to this particular market offering. Known by the masses as a brand for clothing and bed linen, only a niche segment of the market is aware of Nishats accessories even when ingenuity and style is maintained here as well. Hence, this unit generates just enough cash to maintain its market share. Objective Issues First year Objective We have planned to increase the sales volume up to 150 percent of current sales by expanding the market share along with superior customer value. Second year Objective We aim to launch the western wears of finest quality and exclusive class and achieve a distinguishable position in western wear as well. Issues Due to the saturation of market with huge competitors like Al-Karam, Gul-Ahmed and ideas it is quite difficult to capture a large share of market by providing superior value comparable with our competitors. Their distribution networks and large number of outlets could be a hurdle in making our product their first priority. Political issues are also matter of concern as there might be a political influence in establishing our brand in Karachi. Religious issues are also one of the hurdles in advertising via billboards. Financial situation of customers may also be a matter of concern as our all products are exclusive and have high prices. Marketing Strategy Nishats market strategy is based on market expansion and product development. Currently their target segment is exclusive and formal wear for formal now they target professional females including stylish and convenient outfits having a variety of designs but superior quality. Bed linen also needs to be emphasized more regarding variations in styles and designs. Nishat also plans to target entrepreneurs and business owners who wish to design their offices with their products in an exclusive manner by not only providing them their elite products but also special services would also be provided by their representative who would suggest them regarding interior decoration. Gents wear would also be focused involving a wide range of formal and informal shalwar suits under the supervision of a top class designer Hassan Shaharyar. Positioning Nishat aims to position its product as an exclusive and classical brand for both upper and middle class customers. Additionally they provide customer support services specifically to women to help them design their clothing by Nishats experienced designers. That is their differentiating point from their competitors. Product Strategy Nishat will launch exclusive designs of wear created by a variety of new designers. This innovation would be affective as upcoming designers work with more energy and creativity that would boost their sales. Free samples are delivered to customers to show how best our products are. Free sample is a useful technique in winning the loyalty of customers. This strategy is widely used to improve the market. Pricing Strategy Before setting prices of products, various elements are kept into mind. Customer is of utmost importance. If customer is old, his track record is good and enjoys a favorable repute so profit margin may be reduced. Prices area determined on cost basis by adding certain percentage of profit. This is highly sensitive area. Mrs. Mallards Reflections on Life in Kate Chopinââ¬â¢s ââ¬ÅThe Story of an Ho
Anyone who receives notice of a loved ones death is never expected to take it lightly. In Kate Chopinââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"The Story of an Hour,â⬠Mrs. Mallard is informed of her husbands ââ¬Å"deathâ⬠as gently as possible, and immediately she understands the enormous significance this loss will have on her life. Unlike many widowââ¬â¢s, her feelings of utter devastation do not last. Mrs. Mallardââ¬â¢s sobs of loss turn to cries of joy after she reflects upon her own character and discovers truths about her marriage. As any woman would, Mrs. Mallard initially ââ¬Å"wept at once, with sudden, wild abandonment,â⬠(227) at the news of her husbandââ¬â¢s death. Her weeping almost seems forced as Mrs. Mallardââ¬â¢s true character is revealed later on. She is described as ââ¬Å"young, with a fair, calm face, whose lines bespoke repression and even a certain strengthâ⬠(227). Though Mrs. Mallard is still youthful, she has much more knowledge, and personal strength than others her age possess. Her extended knowledge and experience leads to realization of the position her husbandââ¬â¢s death has put her in, and that this death might actually bett...

Culture and Ethnicity Essay
Belarus has a diverse culture and ethnicity. Statistics from the 1989 population census revealed that the Belarusian in soviet union were majority making up over 77% of the total population, the Russians cover 13. 2%, the poles 4. 1% Ukrainians 2. 9% and others who include Tatars, Lithuanians and Latvians cover 2. 9%. I am a Belarusian, a community that makes up the large majority of the people (Mongabay 2009). The Belarusian language is east Slavic tongue which is intimately related to Ukrainian and Russian. The language is the soul of the nation and an important aspect of culture a part from being a means of communication. The Belarusian, have diverse religious affiliations. I am a Russian orthodox Christian though other religions also exist in the region; the Protestants, roman Catholics, Jewish and Muslims (Mongabay 2009). Family and community history describe the current multi-culture as a product of millennium development with several external influence like physical surroundings; merger of Slavic and Baltic natives, paganism, orthodox religion interaction with literary customs, lack of natural borders and a diversity of religions. Education in Belarus region is compulsory for all the age groups seven to seventeen years especially in the primary school and secondary school. During the communist reign, teaching was chiefly done in Russian with no Belarusian but this was changed in 1992 when Belarusian was made the national language and to be used in schools. The healthcare services have failed to meet the requirements of the large population, the staffs is poorly trained and substandard technology cannot conform to new changes (Mongabay 2009). The human service organizations have created some centers like the republic centre on AIDS to help manage the national problem. Reference Mongabay. com (2009) Belarus Society: Country Studies. The Breakers At he beginning of the semester when the term project was assigned I knew right away what resort I was going to pick. I chose The Breakers at Palm Beach Florida because I have very good memories with my family at this property. So I called the hotel and ask for brochures and whatever additional information they could send me. Less than one week later I had all of the information I needed and I will be presenting it to you in the next few pages. Henry Morrison Flagler built a hotel ââ¬Å"The Palm Beach Innâ⬠on the beach front portion of the Royal Poincianaââ¬â¢s property (one of his fist hotels). The Palm Beach Inn, which opened on January 16, 1896, was fully booked for most of that season because it was smaller and quieter than the vast Royal Poinciana and because if overlooked the Atlantic Ocean. Instead of asking for rooms at the Royal Poinciana, many regular Palm Beach guest asked for rooms ââ¬Å"over by the breakers.â⬠The name stuck. When Flagler doubled the size of the Palm beach Inn for the 1901 season, he renamed it the Breakers. On June 9, 1903, as workers were enlarging the wood building for the fourth time in less than decade, The Breakers burned down. The seventy three year old Flagler was shocked by the loss of his favorite hotel but definitely not beaten. Two weeks later he announced that The Breakers would not only be rebuilt but also would open for the upcoming winter season! On February 1, 1904, The Breakers reopened to universal acclaim. The new Breakers, a rambling four-story, colonial-style building constructed entirely of wood, contained 425 rooms and suites. Rooms started at four dollars a night, including three meals a day. Why Do Most Humans Seek Beauty Essay Essay Example
Why Do Most Humans Seek Beauty Essay Essay Example Why Do Most Humans Seek Beauty Essay Essay Why Do Most Humans Seek Beauty Essay Essay Why most worlds seek beauty is every bit interesting as it is deep. In order to contemplate why most worlds seek beauty. I had to look at what is ââ¬Å"beautyâ⬠. To inquire what is beauty. I had to look where beauty can be found. After reflecting on this very inquiry. I found in my thought that beauty could be found in every individual thing that exists. by at least person. Not merely on a physical plane but besides on a non-physical plane. Could I be so bold as to state that beauty is what people refer to as God. or all that is. and that people seek God or ââ¬Å"beautyâ⬠to happen significance or confirmation of their very being? Although many can hold on certain things as being beautiful. beauty is genuinely in the oculus of the perceiver. If what is beautiful to one may non be beautiful to another so beauty can be described as an sentiment. One can hold an sentiment and another can hold. nevertheless. both are sentiment. So what is beauty? How and why do worlds seek beauty? If I can easy come to a decision that beauty is every bit single as we are human. Then I had to inquire myself how do we see beauty. Is it experienced through our sense of sight? We experience a beach. or mountain as being a beautiful thing we are looking at. Yet the reply is non so simple. Why is that beach or mountain beautiful? What about the things that happen to us that can be merely as beautiful? I think that when we experience beauty. we experience beauty through all of our senses based on the significance we put behind our thought of its beauty. Does this mean that people seek out that which is meaningful to them and happen that beautiful? In the book ââ¬Å"Catch a Fireâ⬠. a life on the life of Bob Marley by Timothy White. I found illustrations of my thought. After Bob Marley recorded and released his first vocal. he spent most of his rewards playing his vocal for three hebdomads in a local nickelodeon until the tradesman removed the vocal because he was ill of listening to it. Bob thought hearing his music on the nickelodeon was beautiful. The tradesman did non see or experience the beauty Bob Marley felt. I can associate to both sides of this coin. I have excessively experienced the beauty in making music and the bang of listening to my music on the wireless. It was genuinely a beautiful thing to me because I had reached a end and that made me experience good. On the other manus. holding been in the music concern. I have been handed many a demo tape. which is a sample of someoneââ¬â¢s music. I can state you foremost manus that I felt like that tradesman. I did non see the beauty or experience the same exhilaration as the instrumentalist. To state you the truth. sometimes it was reasonably painful to listen to these. Then I had to make up ones mind how I was traveling to interrupt the intelligence to the instrumentalist that I didnââ¬â¢t portion the beauty in his music. I am certainly many did non portion the beauty I saw in my ain music either. Another illustration from ââ¬Å"Catch a Fireâ⬠is Bob Marleyââ¬â¢s female parent Cadella. She saw Bob Marley her kid. as beautiful. I think that every female parent in the universe can associate to seeing her kids as beautiful. I canââ¬â¢t think of a more beautiful thing than my kids. Motherââ¬â¢s see the beauty in their kids because they love them unconditionally. Even after the tests and trials of raising your kids. the relationship may alter but the bond does non. No affair what. that beauty neer slices. When you have a kid it is like falling in love like neer earlier. So do we seek beauty to fall in love and the feeling we get from that connexion? We can see that people do seek out beauty in connexion with person or something. One of the most beautiful things in life is to see person that is connected to their passion. whatever that passion is. This beautiful connexion produces the tallness of oneââ¬â¢s part to the universe through the action of their love of something and thereby linking or placing with others that portion the same passion or a ââ¬Å"loverâ⬠of their plants. Peoples seek beauty and connect with one another. Connection is a basic human demand of all people. conditions it is the connexion with another human being. an art piece. a musical composing. a message. themselves. The list is eternal on the how. why. and what people find a connexion to. The most complete account of why worlds seek beauty could be found in the significance we put behind something taken in by the oculus or head. the feeling we get by seting a significance in a idea or experience that feels good. a linguistic communication that speaks to our psyche that we can place with that can bring forth life-transforming pleasance. We worlds seek beauty because it gives us pleasance and puts us in a province of cloud nine. Seeking beauty is the route to felicity.

Art galleries in berlin Thesis Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 5000 words
Art galleries in berlin - Thesis Example The situation is almost the same as in New York, a cultural center wherein a recent Van Gogh exhibit drew crowds bigger than the combined Redskinââ¬â¢s home games. (Savageau 2007, p. 101) the Berlin art scene divides sharply into east and west, the latter containing the expensive, more established galleries in Charlottenburg and Tiergarten and the former reflecting the current energy and attention. The area around the Augustustrasse in Mitte, which became the breeding ground of wild and crazy art in the first years after the Wall, is now known as the "Art Mille" - after the many galleries that have sprung up along its streets. The survival of many art galleries in Berlin deserve to be investigated. For art galleries to succeed, wrote Owen, a lot of complementary infrastructure is needed, on both the supply side and the demand of marketing side: ââ¬Å"On the supply sideâ⬠¦ art required a training network and an intense native ethos. On the marketing side, success required a thick market of sophisticated, well-placed buyers and an active set of dealers and secondary institutions. (p. 68-69) What really makes an art gallery tick? Or, more specifically, what kind of gallery will be successful and survive in Berlin? This paper will investigate this issue and for such purpose, the following secondary objectives will be pursued: This study will primarily use the qualitative method of inquiry. What this means is that the author will exhaust available document on the subject of the study both from the organization itself and third-party records. Case studies will be employed in order to present authoritative findings by functioning as reference points in the discussion. It must be underscored that, in the past, quantitative method could have sufficed but today, the dynamics in research has changed. Denzin and Lincoln (2005) maintained: ââ¬Å"Rapid social change and the resulting diversification of life worlds are increasingly

Moral laws of the jews and gentiles Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Moral laws of the jews and gentiles - Essay Example Paul writes to the Roman ââ¬Å"For when the Gentiles, who have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselvesâ⬠(Roman 2: 14). In Romans 2: 25, He writes ââ¬Å"For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcisionâ⬠(Romans 2: 25). This article explains the moral law between the Jews and the Gentiles, the relationship between Romans 2: 14-15 and 25-29, and the meaning of circumcision in the last passage. The Jews believed they were holy people who are entitled to their privileges by right, while they were rebellious and unrighteous. Paul, however, reminds them that God will judge everyone in accordance to their true characters. Paul advises the Jews to do the things contained in the law by nature. Everybody will be judged by law, and only law observers will be justified. He further clarifies that the same principles applies to the Gentiles too. The Gentiles have not written and revealed laws like the Jews, therefore, they should observe, and abide by the laws contained in the moral principles of the laws of Moses. This implies that they are a law to themselves. Their moral sense and consciences are a law. Paul does not imply that this is the law among the Gentiles, but suggests that the ethics of the law should apply to some of the Gentileââ¬â¢s natural characters. In Romans 2: 25-29, Paul clearly prevents Jewsââ¬â¢ objection, those who set holiness in circumcision, and the logical observation of the law. He highlights that physical circumcision is not of any significance in an individualââ¬â¢s spiritual life, unless its inner interpretation is considered. He condemns those who are circumcised, but do not fulfill what circumcision signifies. According to Paul, circumcision signifies cleanliness of the heart, and adherence to the principles of the commandment of the law. Any uncircumcised man, according to the flesh, who is
