In this chapter he is also unreasonable to the highest deg ree this Schlegel?s, he threatens them to Dolly, warning they must be ?on their best(p) behaviour? or else he?ll ? ramble [his] foot downwardly?. This again illustrates this unreasonable and aggressive nature that seems to be a common factor among the family. Chapter 22 opens with Margaret?s intentions of changing Henry, circumstances him build ?the rainbow bridge that should connect the prose in us with the choler?, she wanted to ?span their lives with beauty?. But, tied(p) out at this ahead of condemnation stage, she realises this is not possible, due to his ? dulness?. He sees things in blackness and white, and this annoys Margaret, in even the simplest converse she can see ?the milestones, the collisions, the innumerable views?. After he drops this bombshell on the sisters, he goes straight on to talk about a garner he?s had, and almost alone ignores Margaret?s attempts to find out what he meant by this.
