Gangs5 Gangs and Violence I don?t think I was even conscious that gangs existed and were a hassle until 1991. That was the year that my adept Steph and I went to see the delineation ?Boyz in the Hood,? directed by John Singleton. When we chose to see that movie, we really had no idea what it was about.
